Version 1.6.0 (2025-07-26)

  • New Feature: PDF Tools (Merge, Split, Reorder, Rotate)
    • Introduces an all-in-one utility for powerful, client-side PDF manipulations. All processing occurs in-browser for maximum speed and privacy.
    • Merge, Split & Organize: Combine multiple PDFs or split a single document into pages. Reorder files and pages with drag-and-drop. Add files from the computer or Google Drive™.
    • Page-Level Editing: Rotate pages in 90-degree increments, delete single or multiple pages (with undo), and insert correctly-sized blank pages.
    • Stamping & Numbering: Apply custom text or image watermarks with full controls for opacity, scale, and position. Automatically add page numbers in various formats.

Version 1.5.9 (2025-07-24)

  • New Feature: AI Refinement Pass for Text to Table
    • The ‘Text to Table’ feature now includes an optional AI refinement step. This second pass analyzes the initial table and applies corrections and formatting rules based on your settings:
      • Cell Content Alignment: Double-checks and corrects data placed in the wrong column within a row.
      • Table Orientation Preference: Set a preference for row- or column-based layouts, and the AI will transpose the table to match.
      • Date, Time, and Number Formatting: Standardize all detected numerical and date-based data.
      • Data Cleaning: Apply rules like trimming whitespace or changing text case.
      • Proofreading: Corrects spelling and grammar across all text cells.

Version 1.5.8 (2025-07-01)

  • New Features:
    • Advanced Document Export: New “Document” menu (in Google Docs™) with advanced export capabilities.
      • Export with Options: A new dialog allows to export the entire document to various formats, including PDF, DOCX, ODT, EPUB, and more, with options to export all tabs or only the current one.
      • Quick PDF Download: A new “Download as PDF” option in the sidebar and a “Save as PDF” option in the main menu allows to instantly create a clean PDF of your entire document, automatically removing the extra title pages that Google adds for each tab.

Version 1.5.7 (2025-06-22)

  • New Features:
    • LaTeX Equation Support: Create, edit, and manage mathematical equations directly within Google Docs™, Google Slides™, and Google Sheets™. Supports rendering as high-quality images or as raw LaTeX code, as well as block equations that are automatically centered on the page. Supports adding numbering and bookmarks. All equations in a document can be loaded for editing with a single click in the sidebar.

    • Formula Recognition in PDF Extraction: The PDF Extraction tool now detects and extracts mathematical formulas, converting them into standard LaTeX notation.

  • New Features:
    • Sidebar Navigation All Add-On features can now also be found in a sidebar that can be convieniently accessed. The settings menu has moved to the sidebar.

    • Extract Content from PDF (OCR): Extract text and tables from PDF documents using Google Gemini™. Works effectively with both image-based (scanned) and standard text-based PDFs. Users can select files from their Google Drive™ or upload directly from their computer.

    • Markdown text to Table Conversion: Convert selected Markdown table code into native tables. While Google Docs™ has some native support, this provides a dedicated function and adds this capability to Google Slides™ and Google Sheets™.

    • Modify Table Tools: Easily restructure and format selected tables with the following new options under the “Modify Table” menu:
      • Transpose Table: Swap rows and columns.
      • Rotate Table Left: Rotate table 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
      • Rotate Table Right: Rotate table 90 degrees clockwise.
      • Adjust Column Width to Content: Automatically resize columns to fit their content.
      • Distribute Column Widths Evenly: Make all columns the same width within the table’s total width.
      • Adjust to Fixed Column Width: Set all selected columns to a specific, user-defined width.
      • Distribute Row Height Evenly: Make all rows the same minimum height (especially relevant for Google Slides™).
      • Set Fixed Row Height: Set all selected rows to a specific, user-defined height.

  • New Features:
    • Support for Google Sheets™: The Add-On can now be used in Google Docs™, Google Slides™ and Google Sheets™.

  • Improvements:
    • Language Support The Add-On now supports English (English), Hindi (हिन्दी), Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), Simplified Chinese (简体中文), German (Deutsch), Spanish (Español), French (Français), and Ukrainian (Українська) in the editor menu.

    • CSV Handling Text to Table and Table to Text CSV Conversion is now according to RFC 4180 standard.
