Releases

New Features:
- Extract Content from PDF (OCR): Extract text and tables from PDF documents using Google Gemini™. Works effectively with both image-based (scanned) and standard text-based PDFs. Users can select files from their Google Drive™ or upload directly from their computer.

New Features:
- Markdown text to Table Conversion: Convert selected Markdown table code into native tables. While Google Docs™ has some native support, this provides a dedicated function and adds this capability to Google Slides™ and Google Sheets™.

New Features:
- Modify Table Tools: Easily restructure and format selected tables with the following new options under the “Modify Table” menu:
  - Transpose Table: Swap rows and columns.
  - Rotate Table Left: Rotate table 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
  - Rotate Table Right: Rotate table 90 degrees clockwise.
  - Adjust Column Width to Content: Automatically resize columns to fit their content.
  - Distribute Column Widths Evenly: Make all columns the same width within the table’s total width.
  - Adjust to Fixed Column Width: Set all selected columns to a specific, user-defined width.
  - Distribute Row Height Evenly: Make all rows the same minimum height (especially relevant for Google Slides™).
  - Set Fixed Row Height: Set all selected rows to a specific, user-defined height.

New Features:
- Support for Google Sheets™: The Add-On can now be used in Google Docs™, Google Slides™ and Google Sheets™.

Improvements:
- Language Support The Add-On now supports English (English), Hindi (हिन्दी), Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), Simplified Chinese (简体中文), German (Deutsch), Spanish (Español), French (Français), and Ukrainian (Українська) in the editor menu.

Improvements:
- CSV Handling Text to Table and Table to Text CSV Conversion is now according to RFC 4180 standard.

New Features:
- AI Translation: Translate tables in Google Docs™ and Google Slides™.

Improvements:
- Enhanced AI Translation: Expanded AI Translation capabilities to include list items within text, in addition to paragraphs and regular text.

New Features:
- AI Translation: Translate texts and paragraphs (up to 5000 characters). Support for 50 languages. Access a wider range of languages through the settings menu, beyond those available in the Quick Menu.

New Features:
- AI Interaction: Improves text-to-table conversion with AI-powered assistance. User permission is required for each interaction.
- AI Permissions: A new settings option allows users to enable continuous, opt-in generative AI assistance.

New Features:
- Format Selected Table Wizard: A guided, step-by-step wizard to easily apply table formatting.
- Custom Table Styles: Create, save, and apply your own custom table styles for consistent formatting.

New Features:
- Text to Table Conversion: Convert plain text into formatted tables.
- Table to Text Conversion: Convert tables back into plain text.
- One-Click Table Formatting: Quickly apply pre-defined formatting styles to your tables.
