Quick Delete Duplicate Rows in Google Sheets™

Learn how to quickly remove duplicate rows from your selection in Google Sheets™ using the Text To Table Converter add-on. Clean your data instantly.

The Quick Delete Duplicate Rows tool is a streamlined duplicate-row remover for your current selection. It gives you a faster cleanup path than Find Duplicate Rows, while still letting you preview what will be deleted first.

How to Use Quick Delete Duplicate Rows

  1. Select a range

Select the range of cells containing the rows you want to clean. This tool works only with your current selection (no sheet or all-sheets scope options).

  1. Open the tool

Open the add-on sidebar, expand Sheets Mega Tools, go to Rows & Columns, and click Quick Delete Duplicate Rows.

You can also use the Sheets Mega Tools menu shortcut to open the same sidebar section.

  1. Configure options

Choose whether the data has headers.

If needed, enable the backup option before you continue.

  1. Preview the result

Click Preview to see how many rows will be deleted and how many will be kept.

  1. Delete duplicates

Click Delete Duplicates only after the preview looks correct.

Key Features

  • Fast and simple - Streamlined interface for quick duplicate-row cleanup
  • Current selection only - Works with your selected range
  • Preview before deletion - Review what will be removed before you confirm
  • Backup option - Create a backup before deleting when needed

Tip: This tool is best when you already know you want to remove duplicate rows from a specific range and do not need the full review workflow of Find Duplicate Rows.

Data Safety: Consider enabling the backup option before deletion, especially for important data.
