Find Duplicates Within Two Columns in Google Sheets™

Compare two columns within the same Google Sheets™ spreadsheet to instantly spot, highlight, or remove duplicate values shared between them.

This feature will let you compare two columns in the same sheet (current selection) and highlight values that appear in both.

Coming soon: Implementation is in progress. The UI may be hidden or read-only in the current build. Check back after the next release for full instructions and screenshots.

Planned workflow

  • Select two columns in the same sheet (equal height preferred)
  • Run a Compare action to detect shared values
  • Review a results table with match counts and positions
  • Apply follow-up actions: highlight, extract, or copy matches
