Download Images
Export every image—or just the current page/slide—from Google Docs™ or Google Slides™ as individual files or a ZIP named after the file.
Google Docs™ and Google Slides™ don’t offer a built-in way to download all images from a file. This tool fills that gap: extract every image without copy/paste, screenshots, or manual saving. Load images from the entire file or just the tab or slide you’re viewing, then download them individually or as a ZIP named after your document.
Download Images from Your Document or Slides#
- Open the tool
- Sidebar: Document Tools > Media > Download Images. In Slides you can also use the Download Images tile under Slides Quick Actions on the sidebar home.
- Extensions menu:
Extensions>Text To Table Converter>Document Tools>Download Images.
- Load images
Choose how much of the file to scan:
- Load all images finds every image in the file.
- Load current tab only (Docs) or Load current slide only (Slides) scans only the tab or slide you currently have open.
Tip: If you plan to load only the current tab or slide, make sure it’s active before opening the tool.
If the file has more images than the tool can load within its size or count limits, a notice says that not all images could be loaded. Use Load current tab only or Load current slide only to work through the file in smaller parts.
- Select what to export
Use Select all / Deselect all, or click images to toggle them. Shift-click to select a range. A counter such as “3 of 12 selected” shows how many images are selected. Use Copy image on a single image to copy it to the clipboard.
- Download
Click Download selected:
- One image selected: downloads immediately.
- Multiple images selected: packaged into a ZIP file named after your document.
- Afterwards
When the download finishes, you can click Save to Google Drive™ to keep a copy in Drive, or Download again to repeat the download.
