Export with Options… is the advanced export workflow in the add-on. It lets you control what gets exported, how the files are grouped, and where the final output should go.

This workflow now supports:

  • Google Docs™: export PDF or other supported formats such as DOCX, RTF, ODT, EPUB, HTML (zip), and TXT
  • Google Slides™: export PDFs with slide-based scope selection
  • Google Sheets™: export PDFs with worksheet-based scope selection
  • Single combined output or separate files depending on the host app
  • Browser download, Google Drive save, and PDF Editor handoff where supported

If you only need the fastest possible PDF, use Save as PDF. If you need control over scope, grouping, or delivery, this is the right export flow.

  • Menu: Extensions > Text To Table Converter > PDF & Image Tools > Export with Options
  • Docs sidebar: PDF & Image Tools > Export with Options
  • Slides sidebar: PDF & Image Tools > Export PDF with Options
  • Sheets sidebar: PDF & Image Tools > Export Spreadsheet PDF with Options

  1. Open the export dialog Open Export with Options… from the menu or from the PDF & Image Tools sidebar section in Docs, Slides, or Sheets.

  2. Choose the export scope Depending on the app you are using, select what should be exported:

    • Docs: all tabs, current tab, or selected tabs
    • Slides: all slides, current slide, or selected slides
    • Sheets: all worksheets, current worksheet, or selected worksheets
  3. Choose the output grouping Select how the export should be assembled:

    • Docs: one combined file or one file per tab
    • Slides: single PDF or separate PDF per slide
    • Sheets: single PDF or separate PDF per worksheet
  4. Adjust format or PDF-specific options Depending on the app and mode, you can configure:

    • Docs format: PDF, DOCX, RTF, ODT, EPUB, HTML (zip), or TXT
    • Docs PDF options: including whether to avoid tab title pages when supported
    • Slides speaker notes TXT export: available in single-PDF mode only
    • Other settings that only apply to single combined output
  5. Choose where the result should go Pick one of the available output actions:

    • Download
    • Save to Google Drive
    • Open in PDF Editor where supported
  6. Run export Click Export to create the output files.

  7. Receive the final files Delivery depends on the export type:

    • Single-file download: downloads the exported file directly
    • Separate-file download: downloads one ZIP containing all exported files
    • Drive save for a single file: saves the exported file to the selected location
    • Drive save for separate files: creates a new export subfolder and saves each file into it

The advanced export flow can now create separate files instead of one combined export:

  • Docs: one file per tab
  • Slides: one PDF per slide
  • Sheets: one PDF per worksheet

When you choose a separate export:

  • Download gives you one ZIP containing all exported files
  • Save to Google Drive creates a new subfolder and saves each exported file into it
  • Some single-file-only options become unavailable, such as certain PDF Editor handoff flows and Slides speaker notes TXT export

  • Supports PDF and additional document formats
  • Can export all tabs, the current tab, or selected tabs
  • Can export a single combined file or one file per tab
  • Large tab counts can limit certain clean-PDF options, especially when suppressing title pages
  • PDF export is available in the sidebar flow
  • Scope can be all slides, current slide, or selected slides
  • Can export a single PDF or one PDF per slide
  • Speaker notes can be exported as a TXT file in single-PDF mode only
  • PDF export is available in the sidebar flow
  • Scope can be all worksheets, current worksheet, or selected worksheets
  • Can export a single PDF or one PDF per worksheet

  • Use Export with Options… when you need scope selection, separate files, ZIP delivery, Google Drive save, or non-PDF document formats in Docs.
  • Use Save as PDF when you want the fastest possible single PDF export.
