Create Clean Share Links

Copy clean preview, force-copy, responder, or direct-PDF links for the current Google file without changing its sharing permissions.

The share-link utility is in the add-on sidebar top bar. It creates useful URL variants for the current file; it does not grant access or change Google Drive permissions.

Available link types

  • Docs, Sheets, and Slides: preview, force-copy, and direct-PDF links where supported.
  • Google Forms: responder and force-copy links.

Share safely

  1. 1Open the share-link button in the sidebar top bar.
  2. 2Choose the link type and copy it.
  3. 3Check the Google file sharing settings separately before sending the link.
  4. 4Test the link in a signed-out browser when the audience is outside your organization.
