How to Share a Google Forms QR Code (Fast Method)

If you want to get more responses to your surveys or quizzes, you need to make them easy to access. Typing out a long URL is difficult for users, especially on mobile devices.

The solution is to create a QR code for your Google Form.

How to Create a Google Forms QR Code

1. Open your Google Form.
2. In the top menu, click the Extensions (puzzle piece icon) button.
3. Select Text To Table Converter > Open Sidebar.
4. Scroll down to find the QR Code section.

Step 1: Link the Code Automatically

You don’t need to hunt for the sharing link.

• Look at the input field in the sidebar.
• Click the Current Document Link button (link icon) next to the input.

Step 2: Style & Brand

Step 3: Download or Insert?

Once your QR code is ready, you have two ways to use it depending on your goal:

Option A: Download (For Flyers & Emails)

If you want to put the QR code on a poster, a printed handout, or a separate website, click Download PNG. This saves the image to your computer so you can paste it anywhere.

Option B: Insert into Form (For Projectors & Print-outs)

You can click Insert Top or Insert Bottom to place the QR code image directly inside the Google Form itself.

Why insert the code into the form? It seems redundant to put a QR code inside the form it links to, but it is incredibly useful for live presentations.

If you project your Google Form on a classroom whiteboard or conference screen, the QR code (inserted at the top) allows your audience to scan the screen and open the form on their phones immediately without you needing to create a separate slide deck.

• Publish your form first: The link in the QR code will only work if your form is published.
• Test the Scan: Always scan the code with your own phone before publishing to ensure the link works.

FAQ

Does the QR code expire?

No. The QR code is simply a visual representation of your Google Form’s web address. As long as your Google Form is live, the QR code will work.

Can I change the color of the QR code?

Yes. In the sidebar, use the Dots Options to change from standard black to any color or gradient you prefer.

Why is my logo covering too much of the code?

If your logo is too large, the code may not scan. Use the Image Size slider in the sidebar to shrink the logo until the code becomes scannable again.
