Add-on Not Loading? Reset Permissions and Fix a Blank Sidebar

Fix a blank sidebar or repeated sign-in prompts in Text To Table Converter by resetting Google third-party access, reauthorizing the add-on, and checking your account session.

If the Text To Table Converter sidebar opens blank, keeps asking you to sign in, or a tool will not respond, reset the add-on's Google permissions first. This usually clears an incomplete or outdated authorization.

Reset Google Third-Party Permissions#

The quickest fix for a permissions approval problem is to remove Text To Table Converter from your Google Account's third-party access list, then authorize it again.

  1. Open Google Account third-party connections.
  2. Find and select Text To Table Converter.
  3. Click Remove access and confirm.
  4. Return to Google Docs™, Google Slides™, or Google Sheets™.
  5. Open the add-on from Extensions > Text To Table Converter and open the sidebar again.
  6. When Google shows the authorization screen, allow all permissions requested by the add-on.

This gives the add-on a fresh authorization instead of reusing a declined or partially approved permission.

Signed In to Several Google Accounts?#

Being signed in to multiple Google accounts at once in the same browser can cause a blank sidebar or an endless sign-in loop. Google Workspace™ add-ons can end up running under a different account than the one that owns your document.

The fix: stay signed in with the Google account that owns the document. Sign out of extra accounts, or use one browser profile per account.

Quick test: Open a private/incognito window, sign in with only the account that owns your document, and open the add-on again.

Icon or Menu Missing Right After Install#

After a fresh install, it can take a moment for the add-on icon and menu entries to appear. Refresh your browser tab (F5 or Cmd+R), then open the add-on again.

Still Stuck?#

If none of the above helps, we are happy to dig in. Reach out via the Support page and describe what you see — a screenshot helps a lot.
